[Movie Review] Noah

NOAH

With so many different opinions out there about this "Unbiblical Fantasy", I have decided to write my own opinion and say what I thought about it. After watching it last night night, there definitely were some opinions that I wanted to discuss and things that I have read online about this movie and its production.

After having as high revenue as $43.7M just in the Opening Weekend, it's no joke that the movie has been marketed to attract everyone. I mean, just as they say - bad publicity is still publicity, correct? And living in such "modern" but still corrupt world, money flows everywhere. And where the money is, people would do a lot of things to get a hold of it. Even if it means get some Christian folks heated up.

The movie itself definitely starts off interesting. You have young Noah and his father having a conversation when "men" come and murder the old man. After running away, he has a family and lives out in the desert-sort of land where noone has seen rain in many years. After having a dream that the world will be destroyed, Noah decides to visit his grandfather in the mountains and see if he can help him define the dream and tell him what to do.

The whole concept in the beginning was interesting but you have to understand that this was supposedly "fantasy" with just an idea from the Bible. But as the movie goes, Noah's madness and his family and just everything overall is a little weird and you just sit there and think "What the heck?" I'm not saying that the movie was bad. Trust, when there is so much money put into it and Emma Watson is playing the role of eldest sons? You know the graphics would at least be worth to spend $11 to see what it's all about. However, it does get your blood pumping. I wouldn't say that I am a religious person. I consider myself being spiritual. But when someone twists the story into something completely disgusting and uncontrollable, I cannot just sit on one place and not say something.

Maybe that makes me seem like I don't have my final opinion. But like I said, having my thoughts out there might help someone, might not. It is a movie. Not a start towards someone who takes things personally. So let it go people :)
